Meet the producer
Marlon was born and raised in the mountains of Santander, Colombia, shaped by generations of deep respect for the land and a daily tradition of cacao ritual, whisked by hand, offered with gratitude, woven into the fabric of life. Together with his wife Paola and his sister Madeleine, he returned to those roots to create Ecofinca Akasha, where every step of the cacao journey, from seed to finished paste, happens right there on their land, guided by the ancestral wisdom of Colombia's native cultures and modern regenerative agriculture.
Their mission is not to maximize yields, but to co-create with nature, building ecosystems of abundance, beauty, and balance. They teach permaculture and agroecology to local community members and visitors, and welcome people to the farm to experience the full cacao journey firsthand, guided by the very hands that tend it.

Akasha
Akasha Ceremonial Cacao is grown in the mountains of Santander, Colombia. A region celebrated for producing cacao with a naturally sweet aroma, exceptional flavor, and high cacao butter content. What makes this cacao truly rare is where it grows: at the very edge of cacao's natural ecological range, in a dramatic river valley embraced by ancient forests, pristine lakes, and towering waterfalls. This unique microclimate creates conditions unlike anywhere else in the world, allowing the cacao to develop a depth and purity that is simply extraordinary.
The farm uses regenerative agricultural practices, including handcrafted bio-fertilizers and the ancient Terra Preta soil enrichment technique, ensuring the land is nurtured. You will be able to feel the level of care in every sip.Â
